International Environmental Research Center(Director Hor-gil, Hur) at GIST(Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, President Jung-Ho, SONU) announced that it held an international symposium from 11th to 13th as part of a sideline event of the 2011 Gwangju Summit of the Urban Environmental Accord.

In particular, the symposium was held under the theme of "Water Quality of a City", which is an essential theme to deal with to make a sustainable city, in line with the theme of the Gwangju Summit of the Urban Environmental Accord.
