Professor Sin-Hyeog Im at GIST"s School of Life Sciences explained the causes of allergies that always bother me. Originally, immunocytes play the role of fighting enemies such as germs and viruses which come into the body to protect our body. But when immunocytes mistake food for an enemy, allergic reactions arise.

Professor Im explained the significance of the research by saying, “lactic acid bacteria cannot replace drugs yet, but it will be able to become a supplemental agent  improving more diseases by inducing balanced immune reactions.
