GIST, Holds "Culture Night" with Foreign Members

-Showing the international feature of campus with various countries" culture and play

 

 

On Nov. 11, GIST(Gwangju Institute of Science and Technicology, President Jung-Ho, SONU) held "2011 Culture Night) where about 400 GIST members both Koreans and foreigners can introduce each other"s culture and experience other countries" traditional game.

During the event, "Sing a Song" competition was held among 11 teams composed of foreign GIST students and "Hwangtoje", Korean traditional instrument orchestra and municipal dancing group were invited to conduct their performance. In addition, "experience booth" attracted people"s attention. In the "House of Korea" corner, foreign students experienced Korea"s traditional wedding with Korean clothes on and dinner party was held. The profit out of selling meal voucher will be contributed to GIST development fund.
