GIST has come up with a place to seek measures to cooperate with the top Eastern European universities.

Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST, President-Young Joon Kim) announced that, for 2 days from the 18^th, it held The 3rd GIST-European Universities Joint Workshop, 2012, with 3 major universities in Czech Republic, Romania, and Bulgaria, at GIST Oryong Hall.

Especially this workshop gathered much attention as it was attended by scholars from Czech Technical University in Prague, the Czech Republic; Universitatea Babes-Bolyai, Romania; and Sofia University, Bulgaria, which are recognized as the top universities in Eastern European countries.

Meanwhile, from GIST, professor Tae Ho Yoon, professor Jae Hyung Jang, and professor Hyyong Suk presented research theme lectures, and professor Jong Won Kim, professor Kyoung Woong Kim, and professor Yong Gu Lee chaired the session.
