The Cultural Trip of Fall Semester 2012 was held on October 5, 2012(Friday), for foreigners in GIST. GIST (Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, President Kim Young-Joon) has been holding a cultural Trip and industry inspection every year with a purpose to cultivate viewpoints to understand Korea in a broader perspective by providing foreign students and staff in GIST with opportunities to visit beautiful tourist sites and cultural historical sites of Korea, and production facilities of major companies of Korea to inspect the advanced technologies.

   In this year’s cultural Trip visit, GIST provided opportunities to visit Naganeupseong and Seonamsa located in Suncheon Jeollanam-do and experience the traditional cultures and beauty of Korea.
