MoU signed with Korea Culture Technology and Gwangju MBC

 

 

 

Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology(GIST, President   Young Joon Kim) and Korea Culture & Technology Research Institute (President   Jung, Jin Hong) have signed an MoU with Gwangju MBC on August 6 to cooperate for developing culture and technology contents and promoting cultural industry areas.

 

Since the founding ceremony in June this year, through the cultural technology colloquium, the research center has carried out roles of a research center in charge of Korea’s cultural technology research including R&D topic selection, research planning for the following year and joint research coordination in a variety of areas. The MoU with Gwangju MBC has been discussed since June and promoted based on common understanding of roles and goals of a regional representative organization that claims to be the cultural capital along with the government goal of cultural life and cultural prosperity.

 

The essence of coordination between the two organizations is to discover research opportunities for convergence technology of cultural industry, exchanges of human resources to foster specialized manpower in convergence area and to operate courses and programs of cultural technology and asset based on the key obligations of the cultural technology research center mandated by the law. In particular, the specific projects attempted through the MoU include an audition program where a film is produced based on cultural asset in our daily lives, production of courses with the topic of cultural technology, and presentation of Gwangju’s future as the Asia’s cultural capital by visiting world’s advanced cities in culture and cultural industry.
