GIST discusses joint research in bio solar cells with the Netherlands

 

 

Bio solar cells research group of the Netherlands visited GIST (Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, President   Young Joon Kim) to share research status with researchers at GIST and discuss possible cooperation measures including a joint research on the subject.

 Dr. Rene Klein Lankhorst, head of the bio solar cell research group and Cha Ye Won, project officer, Science and Technology at the Embassy of the kingdom of the Netherlands visited the Research Institute for Solar and Sustainable Energies (RISE, Director Lee Gwang Hee) September 6 and participated in a seminar to discuss opportunities of joint research in the field of artificial photosynthesis with professor Seo Ji Won (Basic Science and Chemistry), professor Yun Myung Han (Material Science), professor Bang Yun Su (Chemistry) and Lee Ho Jae  (Chemistry).   

The research group introduced status of economy and industry driven by bio science in the Netherlands and professors at GIST gave presentation on the topic of artificial photosynthesis. The two parties agreed to implement substantial joint research with continuous exchanges and visits.
