GIST College holds admission procedures briefing for students from Busanil Science High School

 

 

 

On September 2, GIST(Gwangju Institute of Science Technology, President   Young Joon Kim)College, which is the undergraduate program of GIST, invited 120 freshmen, 10 teachers and 70 parents of Busanil Science High School and held various science prodigy education programs including admission procedures briefing, academic counseling, exploration of career options, campus tour, etc.

 

Students from the high school were briefed on overall information relating to school admission, such as introduction of GIST, scholarship program and admission procedures and then made a tour around the campus, visiting major facilities and labs. In particular, the GIST Science Quiz Program prepared by undergraduates of GIST provided them with a useful opportunity to learn about GIST and science.

 

GIST College plans to recruit a total of 170 freshmen this year, which is increased by 60 from 110 last year; 150 students by rolling admission 20 students by regular admission. Application period for rolling admission is September 4~11. After paper screening and interviews in October, successful candidates will be announced in November. Regular admission will proceed from December (after university entrance test on Nov. 7) to mid January next year.
