GIST College students serve "Briquettes of Love"

Prior to the start of the full-scale winter season, GIST college students performed charitable acts to warms the hearts and the lives of the underprivileged. Thirty students of GIST college students along with thirty students from DGIST brought charcoal briquettes to families in Anyeon-myeon, Kimyang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do.

The volunteer group purchased 3,000 briquettes for 1,900,000 won, and the students delivered 20 briquettes to 150 underprivileged households in Gwangju and Daegu, including the poor, families with single parents, or families with someone suffering from a disability.

The event was jointly organized by the GIST College Students" Association, the DGIST Student Association, and Hamyang-gun, and was sponsored by GIST College.

Shin-sil Song, a student who planned and participated in this event as a student leader said, "All of the students who participated were very enthusiastic and proud of their achievement because they were really able to help others, and I hope we can continue this event again next year."
