GIST invited 50 CEOs from Gwangju and Jeonnam

to learn about promising GIST technologies

□ On March 3, 2017, the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) invited 50 CEOs from outstanding companies from Gwangju and Jeonnam to learn about the promising technologies and patents owned by GIST and to promote technology transfer.

□ Professor Jin Hee Ahn from the Department of Chemistry gave a presentation about the exciting technologies developed at GIST. Following the presentation, the corporate CEOs visited various state of the art research facilities at GIST.

□ GIST President Seung Hyeon Moon said, "Global patent tracking firms have recognized GIST as having excellent technologies with tremendous commercial value. By hosting events such as this, I am hopeful that GIST will make greater progress in transferring its technologies to suitable domestic companies that can maximize the potential."

□ Mr. Seong-Bong Kim, CEO of VESTECH, participated in this event and said, "This is a good opportunity to identify promising technologies created by GIST and to seek further cooperation through more extensive joint research with GIST."
