GIST Korea Culture Technology Institute to develop VR exhibition platform
The GIST Korea Culture Technology Institute (KCTI) will be working with games and contents startup companies to develop VR (Virtual Reality) exhibition platform.
KCTI met with game developer Ntonic Games (President Chul-yong Jung) and storytelling content developer Media Fish (President Hae-jung Jeon) for a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony on June 10, 2016.
VR industry is the future business model for Culture Technology. Large companies such as Microsoft, Sony, and Googles are already conducting large-scale projects. Samsung, SK Telecom, and other large Korean companies are also diving into this business.
Ntonic Games is currently developing mobile action RPG ‘Epic Hero’. They are equipped with global competitiveness 3D graphics and gaming system configurations.
Media Fish is an expert in storytelling with experiences in movies, animations, and various other areas. They are currently working on in-house production of audio drama branded as "Audio Fish."
Director Sun-bo Park of KCTI said, “To quickly respond to rapid changes in the VR market, it is important to create mutual cooperation and embark on full-scale development with established R&D technologies."
