Rho Yong-young, an alumnus of GIST received Presidential Citation on ‘Science Day’ -He earned MD. And Ph.D degrees at GIST 2000~2005 …Teaching at Dongguk University Now Dr. Rho Yong-young (40) (Currently teaching at Department of Energy and Materials Engineering at Dongguk University), an alumnus of GIST(Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, President Young Joon Kim) received Presidential Citation for contribution to science and technology advancement at the event of the 47th ‘Science Day’ held April 21. Dr. Rho entered Department of Material Engineering (now renamed as School of Material Science and Engineering) of GIST 2000 after completing the undergraduate course at Department of Chemical Engineering at Dongguk University and graduated with a doctorate August 2005 (advisor professor Kim Dong-you). Dr. Rho demonstrated innovative research outcomes in new display processing by unveiling the determinant of N-type organic semiconductors functionally the core part of electronic circuit applied to wearable or flexible devices and is now recognized for the significant contribution to theoretic advancement of next generation display technology.
