A multimedia mosaic of moments at GIST
Professor In Soo Kim of GIST School of Environmental Science and Engineering has been named a winner of Red Stripes Order of Service Merit in the national R&D achievement evaluation 2014 conducted by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (MSIP).
Since arriving in GIST in 1994, Professor Kim has led the Environmental Membrane-Biotechnology Laboratory and made outstanding contributions in energy conversion systems and seawater desalination, including publishing 172 papers and 68 papers in international and domestic academic journals, respectively, and registering 27 patents. He is a full member of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology since 2009 and a fellow of the International Water Association since 2010.
In the MSIP’s national R&D achievement evaluation 2014, two Orders of Merit, five Medals of Merit, six Presidential Citations of Merit, and nine Prime Ministerial Citations of Merit were awarded. The award ceremony was held on December 30, 2014 in the Government Buildings Complex in Gwacheon.
