Professor Yong-Joo Doh's research proposal has been selected for the Samsung Future Technology Development Project
Professor Yong-Joo Doh of the Department of Physics and Photon Science at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) has proposed a research project that was selected for funding from the Samsung Future Technology Development Project.
The Samsung Future Technology Development Project began in 2013 to provide a decades' worth of R&D support for various fields of research, such as basic sciences, materials science, and ICT. With the intention of rigorously selecting and providing extensive funding advanced one of a kind research projects, Samsung has already spent 1.5 trillion won under this project. 22 projects have been selected under the category of basic sciences and 18 projects have been selected under the category of materials science and ICT.
The research topic proposed by Professor is 'Gate Controllable Phase - Secondary Current Cubit Research,' which has the research goal of developing the next generation quantum information device by using nanotechnology. The project will receive 2 billion won in funding over the next five years.
