Professor Sung-Min Hong was appointed associate editor of an international journal

□ Professor Sung-Min Hong of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST, President Seung Hyeon Moon) was appointed associate editor of the SCI journal Transactions on Electron Devices *, which is published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

* IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices is an internationally renowned journals of electronic devices published since 1952 and had an impact factor of 2.605 in 2016.

□ Professor Hong will be an associate editor three years starting in March 2018.

□ Professor Hong received his Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from Seoul National University. He came to GIST in 2013 and has been conducting research in semiconductor device simulation for more than 15 years.
