GIST International Environmental Research Institute hosts "The Age of the 4th Industrial Revolution: Everything is changing. Youth is an opportunity."

□ The GIST International Environmental Research Institute (Director Joon Ha Kim) held a cultural event at Oryong Hall on July 19, 2017. Local residents, students, and members of the GIST community were invited to this event that was meant to communicate with young people who are living in the drastically changing era of the 4th Industrial Revolution.

□ This cultural event began with an address from GIST Research Institute Director Heung-No Lee, and special guests were invited to participate, including GIST Professor Joon Ha Kim who is conducting research to fine the optimal solution for climate change and environmental problems. The theme was about how everything will change with the 4th Industrial Revolution but that there will be plenty of hope and opportunity for young people.

∘ This concert was recorded in conjunction with Gwangju MBC and will be aired at 11:10 pm on August 3, 2017.

□ Professor Joon Ha Kim said, "The society of the future will converge and communicate with each other several hundred times faster than now, and that power will help to change the world. The young leaders of tomorrow should adapt to the new era by transforming how they think, create, and communicate."

□ GRI Director Heung-No Lee said, "GIST hopes to openly communicate with more local residents and students this cultural event hosted by the  International Environmental Research Institute. We will create entrepreneurial jobs and help the local community."
