GIST College Dean Do-Kyeong Ko donates 26 million won to the GIST Development Fund
□ The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST, President Seung Hyeon Moon) has announced on July 24, 2017, that GIST College Dean Do-Kyeong Ko has donated 26 million won to the GIST Development Fund.
∘ Professor Do-Kyeong Ko graduated from Seoul National University and is now a professor in the Department of Physics and Photon Science at GIST.
□ On July 24, 2017, GIST hosted a donation ceremony for the GIST Development Fund, which was attended by about 20 people, including GIST staff and faculty members on the 4th floor of the main administrative building.
□ Professor Do-Kyeong Ko said, "I hope that GIST will continue to contribute to the development of national science by cultivating outstanding talents in science and technology as a leading science and engineering university that will lead to future advances. So I thought about how I can help the school, and I believe that this donations will be used in a meaningfully way to help the students at GIST." His donations will benefit the Department of Physics and Photon Science.
