□ GIST (President Seung Hyeon Moon) selected the final winner and held an award ceremony for the 25th Anniversary GIST Memorial Sculpture Idea Contest.

∘ The awards ceremony was held on May 23, 2018, in the Office of the President, and the winners were awarded plaques along with 1,000,000 won for the grand prize winners and 500,000 won for the runner-ups.

□ A total of 64 ideas were received for GIST Memorial Sculpture Idea Contest from November 23 to December 10, 2017. Three finalists were selected after a preliminary examination (21 submissions), sketch stage (6 submissions), and a 3D image stage (3 submissions).

∘ The three works that won the final screening are ▲ "A Future Together" by Ph.D. student Hyung Wook Choi of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Hyun-ji Kim of the GIST Business Incubator ▲ "Infinite Dream" by college student Ha-yoon Chun ▲ "A Light Bulb that Illuminates GIST" by college student Ju-young Im.

∘ The three works were presented at the CT Art Hall on May 4, 2018, at a public presentation for GIST members. The applicants explained their works and directly answered questions from the audience before public voting began.

□ After the public presentation, an e-mail survey was sent to the GIST community and alumni to vote for the most popular sculpture, and "A Future Together" by Hyung Wook Choi and Hyunji Kim was selected as the winner.

□ The 'GIST Memorial Sculpture Project,' which is being promoted to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the foundation of GIST, will have a fund-raising campaign for the construction of the sculpture, which will be officially unveiled on November 9, 2018.
