Creating harmony for a healthy, balanced life
Dear Students,
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the course registration system error that occurred on August 12th (Monday). We'd like to provide an explanation regarding the error and the subsequent measures we are taking.
Due to recent incidents of personal information leaks at various universities, our institution has implemented a solution to detect personal data in order to enhance information security.
During the use of this solution, the number of simultaneous connections unexpectedly exceeded the user session limit, causing a significant slowdown in the course registration system. Normally, the solution's user sessions are about one-fourth of the upper limit, but the number of sessions increased substantially during course registration, leading to processing delays of the personal data solution equipment.
We understand the inconvenience caused by this error at a crucial time when preparing for the semester.
We deeply empathize with the difficulties and frustration this has caused, and we are committed to improving and thoroughly checking the system to prevent such issues from recurring in the future.
The delay in course registration affected all students equally, and we assure you that the process has been conducted fairly and transparently. However, due to limitations on the number of students per course, we ask for your understanding that not all students may be able to register for their desired courses.
In light of this situation, we will send an email to all professors to request their understanding and cooperation.
We'll review the reasons for course registration and log records, and we will provide support within the feasible range (such as for graduating students).
If you have any questions regarding course registration, please contact the Section of Student Records, and we will do our best to assist you. Once again, we deeply apologize and ask for your kind understanding.
Sincerely,
Section of Student Records
