GIST Professor Heechul Choi has been selected as a

general member of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea

Professor Heechul Choi of the School of Earth Sciences and Environmental Engineering has been selected as a general member of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea (NAEK).

The National Academy of Engineering of Korea selects members through rigorous examination of experts who have made significant contributions to academic research, industrial technology, and related fields with pioneering research results.

Professor Choi was selected as a general member of the Department of Construction and Environment Engineering in recognition of his accomplishments in academic research and for the practical application of industrial technology. The National Academy of Engineering of Korea currently has 620 members and the Department of Construction and Environmental Engineering has about 100 members.

Professor Choi has been active as an active member of Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KAST) since 2014.
