Position: Researcher for Image Mining (IMG) Team

1. Overall Responsibilities and Outline of Position

The Institute Pasteur Korea (IP-K) is seeking for a highly motivated candidate who will be joining at Image Mining team. The candidate will be responsible for development and research of the methods for image processing and data analysis. He/She will be working in close collaboration with computer scientists, biologists and biochemists in the fields of the infectious and neurodegenerative diseases. You will also be partially involved in the development of the methods for validation of the accuracy of the High-Content Images analysis.

The candidate should have abilities to work in a team environment and have good communication skills as well as proficient at using modern high-level programming languages, like C++, C#, NET, Java or Python. A previous experience in collaboration with cell biologists is a plus, especially in the field of High-Content Screening image analysis.

2. Qualifications, Degrees and Experience

1) Essential:

The candidate must be fluent in English and hold a Master or Ph.D. degree in one of the following fields: 
- Image processing and analysis
- Machine learning & data analysis
- Computational biology
- Applied mathematics

- Statistics

2) Desirable:

- Good communication skills

- Ability to perform or have knowledge in; 

Software Development

HTS/HCS image processing and analysis
Bioinformatics
Data mining
